As the result of a recent job I completed, I had some money left over and I couldn’t resist passing up a treasured gift for the girls!!!  Their very own FIRST saddle! Yep, it’s kid sized and it’s all beautifully tooled leather and they can grow with it. They were beaming when we presented it to them.

Each of them have decided that with our new horse, they will compete in the Mountainair rodeo series this year. OH, yeah, didn’t I mention the new horse scenario? The borrowed 2-year old Grace is going home to her mama on Sunday, and in her place, Tammi, a 14-year old sorrel (AKA: red head) Appendix/Arab mare is being given to us to keep. She is an absolute love. All of us have been riding and loving on her already because she used to be owned by my dear friend and neighbor Pam. So, for this rodeo series, the girls can compete in lead-line (where they ride and I walk with them with the horse on a lead line) in events such as barrels, pole-bending, get the flag and others. They are so excited.

Can’t wait to have pictures of them competing!
