Also known as Santa Fe. As the kids events began to come to a slow, we took the time to hook up with Susan and Michael in Santa Fe for Memorial Day after their quick overnight jaunt to Taos. We connected at a pull off spot next to a stream on the road that leads to the Ski area. The girls were in heaven. It didn’t matter that they only accessed about 7 ft of the stream, they quickly began building a dam, looking for bugs, getting wet and picking flowers to stand like statues to attract butterflies. Abby had decided to wear her ballerina dress, and the it was picture perfect in this environment. These girls love the wilderness so deeply.

We then had the special treat of witnessing Michael (Patrick’s dad) emerge as his ancient cave-man self as he diligently drew pictographs and maps in the sand to show Patrick how he and Susan’s trip through the Enchanted Circle had taken course
